ProspectorTim's
Moab ATV Trip Info

The next trip will be Spring, 2009

I go to Moab, Utah twice a year - Spring and Fall.  The Fall trip is usually the last weekend of October, so I can go on from there to the SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada the first week of November.  The dates for the spring ride vary, but will usually be late April or early May; avoiding Easter Weekend and the Jeep Safari.

I don't do "guided tours" (at least not yet), but I do welcome almost anyone to join me and my group on these rides.

Watch the discussion forums on ATVTRAILGUIDE.COM, ATVQUADSQUAD.COM and ATVNATION.COM for on-going planning and developments. I also have several photo albums with LOTS of photos from Moab and other places I ride.
Check out my Webshots Photo Albums!

I usually use FRS/GMRS channels 5 or 22, and SOMETIMES remember to turn on the CB .
If anyone wants my Cell number, send me an email BEFORE the ride.

The trails I ride normally include but are not limited to:

Pritchett Canyon & Kane Creek combined as a loop. Pritchett Canyon is Very Difficult and challenging, and gets worse every year due to natural erosion.

A one-way trip consisting of Poison Spider and Gold Bar, crossing the Golden Crack to continue on the Golden Spike trial and out to Metal Masher.. and more if we have time. This is a LONG an difficult ride that we often finish in the dark (the easy road back to the parking area).

Amasa Back Trail (Cliff Hanger)

Moab Rim

An excellent map of this area can be obtained locally at many stores in Moab, or directly from

Moab is a GREAT place to ride, but don't try it alone. It takes teamwork and muscle to help each other through many of the more extreme portions of the trails; but have no fear, we WILL help each other through it. You will leave Moab with a feeling of accomplishment, new-found confidence, and plenty of sore muscles! Take the time to browse my photo albums, and by all means, DON'T skip the 1998 Moab photos on page 3 of my albums - there are some really nice shots in there.

TEAM WORK!

Now just click you heels together 3 times and say "There's no place like Moab!"

See ya there!
